The latest confirmed case was registered in the Kyiv garrison.

The number of COVID-19 coronavirus cases registered in the Armed Forces of Ukraine grew to five as of 07:00 on April 8.

“As of 07:00 Kyiv time on April 8, five COVID-19 coronavirus cases, including one fatality, were registered in the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” according to the press service of the Medical Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Some 118 servicemen are now isolated (including self-isolation). The number of those whose isolation term is expiring in the next three days is 19 people.

“A serviceman of the Kyiv garrison has become a new confirmed case. Since April 3, he has been self-isolating after being in contact with a sick person. Currently, his state of health is satisfactory. He is undergoing treatment at home under the supervision of doctors. Persons in contact with the serviceman have begun self-isolation,” the press service said.

The Medical Force Command calls for observance of the rules of quarantine and personal hygiene.

As UNIAN reported earlier, four COVID-19 coronavirus cases, including one fatality, were registered in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 07:00 Kyiv time on April 7.
