Another coronavirus case was confirmed last night.

The number of COVID-19 coronavirus cases registered in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 07:00 on April 13 grew to 19 in the past 24 hours, including one recovered case and one fatality.

“As of 07:00 Kyiv time on April 13, nineteen cases of acute respiratory illness COVID-19 caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, including one fatality and one recovery, were registered in the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the press service of the Medical Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine wrote on Facebook on Monday.

Some 214 servicemen are isolated (including self-isolation), the report said. The number of those whose isolation term is expiring in the next three days is 25 people.

“As of the evening of April 12, another case of acute respiratory disease COVID-19 was confirmed in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the use of the [polymerase chain reaction] PCR test. In particular, an employee of the Armed Forces on April 8 was hospitalized in the Lviv Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital with a diagnosis of ‘community-acquired bilateral pneumonia.’ The patient’s condition is grave but stable,” the press service added.

As UNIAN reported earlier, as of April 12, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry reported 18 COVID-19 coronavirus cases in the Armed Forces nationwide, including one COVID-19 death. One patient has already recovered.
