The girl is originally from Khmelnytskyi. She started taking her first steps in music at the age of 7, and at 9 she wrote her first song. She started earning her first money at the age of 15. And to pay for the recording of her first album, she went all the way to China to work.
Later, a solo project called KRUTЬ appeared. Her work is special, as she creates songs independently along with the live sound of the bandura.

Then the musician began to make a name for herself on various television projects. In 2017, she came to the casting for the eighth season of “X-Factor” and received four “yes” from the judges. She did not make it to the finals, but Marina definitely left a lasting impression on the audience.

The next talent show was “The Voice of the Country.” Krut got into Dmitry Monatic's team.

Later, she twice participated in the National Selection for Eurovision. In 2023, she wrote the song “Lullaby”, which impressed everyone. Then the singer took second place according to the voting results.

In the fall of 2025, the singer told the podcast “It Sounds Good!” that after the National Selection in 2023, she went to Spain, where she not only made useful acquaintances, but also began to develop her career there.
She was asked if she planned to participate in the National Selection again.
I don't want to give a direct answer, but I'll say this: I think I'm already too traumatized and too vulnerable because of any competitions. I've had enough of this in my life. I've been through a lot of such difficult, transformative events in recent years. And I'll be honest, I'm not sure that I'm ready, that I have the resources for another National Selection. And secondly, I don't see the point in it for myself right now. I've had enough of everything,
– the singer answered frankly.
Unfortunately, a serious tragedy occurred in Maryna's life. On May 24, 2024, her close friend, Iryna Tsybukh, died. She played and sang at the cemetery for her, because the deceased wanted Ukrainian songs to be played at her farewell.
Krut continues to visit his friend's grave today, and also performs for soldiers on the front lines and in hospitals.

Personal life
The bandura player rarely speaks about her private life in public. In 2024, she said that her last relationship ended because her boyfriend left the country illegally. Marina did not hide that she experienced this period painfully, because the person was close to her heart.

KRUT shared that she was unable to travel abroad with her lover because it contradicted her principles.
At the same time, in an interview, Masha Efrosinina frankly said that she was not currently entering into a serious relationship due to depression, she wanted to solve her problems herself.
According to the singer, a loved one can solve her problems temporarily, but will not eradicate them completely. Marina believes that when she starts to treat herself better, relationships will definitely appear in her life.

But already in the summer of 2025, the singer intrigued with changes in her personal life. In an interview with Marichka Padalko, she admitted that she has a husband who is not a military man and does not live in Kyiv. But everything takes time, because now they are separated by distance.
