Svyatoslav Vakarchuk
The leader of the Okean Elzy band was born in Mukachevo, but spent his childhood and youth in Lviv – and he considers it his hometown. Svyatoslav Vakarchuk studied at Lviv School No. 4 (today – Lviv Linguistic Gymnasium), and received his higher education at the Physics Faculty of Ivan Franko University of Lviv.

It was in Lviv that Vakarchuk's musical career and the history of the Okean Elzy band began. However, later the musicians moved to Kyiv to realize themselves on a national level. But now the city remains important for the artist – he comes here to rest, and his father Ivan Vakarchuk is also buried here.
Ruslana Lyzhychko
The singer was born in Lviv to Nina and Stepan Lyzhychki. While still at school, she sang in a children's ensemble, and after graduating, she entered the Lviv Lysenko Conservatory, studying conducting.

In 1993, she began her musical career, performing at music festivals. And already in 1996, she was declared “Lviv resident of the year”. In 2004, Ruslana became the winner of Eurovision-2004. 10 years later, she was awarded the distinction – Honorary Citizen of Lviv.
Taras Chubay
The son of the poet Hryhoriy Chubai was born in Lviv. There he studied at the Solomia Krushelnytska Music School, graduated from the Lviv Conservatory in the viola class. In 1990, Taras Chubai created the band “Plach Yeremiy”, which in just a few years took first places in the Ukrainian music charts.

A few years later, the musician moved to Kyiv, but he is still associated with his hometown. He now holds the title of Honored and People's Artist of Ukraine.
Ruslan Baginsky
The famous designer, whose hats are worn not only in Ukraine, but also by world celebrities all over the world, was born in Lviv. At the age of 20, he began working as a stylist, and later learned to make his first hats. It was in the Lviv atelier that he received a knowledge base on creating hats and accessories, techniques for working with different fabrics, etc.

Ruslan Baginskiy opened the first showroom in Kyiv, but after the start of the full-scale invasion, the team was moved to Lviv. In August 2022, the Ruslan Baginskiy hat was adopted by Elizabeth II, in July 2024 the headgear appeared in Rihanna's commercial, and in June 2025 – on Beyoncé's tour.
Iryna Fedyshyn
The singer was born in Lviv into a creative family. She received an economic education, but studied music and vocals privately. Thanks to her husband Vitaly Chovnik, she decided to devote her life to a musical career. The artist is known for the hits “Malesenki dolonki”, “Ukraine carols”.

During the full-scale invasion, Iryna Fedyshyn actively engaged in volunteer activities. Over the years, she has already collected over one hundred million hryvnias for the needs of the Armed Forces. In December 2025, the president awarded her the Golden Heart award.
