Police in Bali conducted a search for the allegedly kidnapped Igor Komarov. According to law enforcement officers, the raid was carried out using cars and motorcycles to restrict the kidnappers' movement.
Police reported that 28-year-old Ukrainian citizen Igor Komarov has been missing and allegedly kidnapped since the evening of February 21. This was reported by CNN.
What is known about the search operation?
Police announced on February 22 that raids were being conducted to search for the kidnappers of Igor Komarov. Head of the public relations department, Gusti Ngurah Suardita, noted that the raid began at 9:45 p.m. local time, and dozens of criminal investigation department officers participated in the operation.
The raid took place on the Gianyar border, specifically at the intersection of the Toulikoup-Sidane highway. During the operation, 120 cars and 50 motorcycles were searched. However, the results were in vain. No trace of the kidnappers who fled to Gianyar was found,
– the police said.
Suardita noted that although the search was unsuccessful, the police continue to conduct routine patrols to ensure safety and order, especially in connection with high-profile cases.
Recall that the boyfriend of blogger Eva Mishalova, Igor Komarov, was allegedly kidnapped in Bali and a $10 million ransom is being demanded. Igor Komarov admitted to involvement in fraudulent call centers that operated under the patronage of officials.
