The choreographer's daughter is now 68 years old. She lives in Italy. She opened a ballet studio in the city of Arezzo.
She was previously married to operetta artist Yevgeny Safronchik.

Anna used to live in Kyiv. However, when she was 13 years old, her parents decided to leave Ukraine.
Liliya also has a younger daughter. Her name is Victoria. Chapkis' granddaughter was inspired by her star grandfather and followed in his footsteps – she devoted herself to choreography. Interestingly, Victoria studied at the Kyiv Choreographic Academy, but now she also lives in Italy.

When Hryhoriy Chapkis was in the hospital, the choreographer danced his last waltz within the hospital walls.
He was almost unconscious. I gave him a waltz, and he suddenly came to life, and I danced the whole waltz with him, holding his hand. He followed me with his eyes, although it was almost lifeless. He understood that it was me who was doing the waltz movements with him,
– the choreographer's daughter admitted.
Where is Greg Chapkis now?
The dancer's son has been living in the US for many years. He has his own hip-hop studio, Chapkis Dance, in San Francisco. It should be noted that Greg was born in the second marriage of his star father.
Even earlier, Chapkis Jr. married an American woman named Amber. The couple had two children, Mykola (Nikolya) and Maksym.

When Grigoriy Chapkis died, the whole family gathered for this sad event – Greg, Liliya and her two daughters. In October 2021, Chapkis Jr. visited his father's grave, who was buried at the Baykovo Cemetery in Kyiv.
The maestro's monument was erected only a few years after his death. As Greg wrote, it was difficult to do because of the distance and the war that complicated the process.
Sorry it took so long, Dad. It wasn't easy doing this from the other side of the world in a country at war. Some of your “friends” and colleagues made a lot of empty promises, and in the end they just wanted more from us. Liliya and I lost a lot of time because of this. My heart is at peace now. Rest in peace, Dad, we miss you,
