The 68th Grammy Awards ceremony has kicked off in the US. Bad Bunny won Album of the Year, while other winners included Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish, and Lady Gaga.

The Recording Academy of the United States announced the Grammy winners on the night of February 1 and presented awards in 95 categories. The Associated Press reports.

One of the 2026 winners was rapper Kendrick Lamar, who won five awards, including best rap song, best rap album, and record of the year, breaking Jay-Z's record.

Other stars also won in the main categories. Singer Bad Bunny received a statuette for his album – the first time a Spanish-language album has won the top prize.

Billie Eilish triumphed in the Song of the Year category for Wildflower, while Lady Gaga took home awards for her hit Abracadabra. Lola Young won for her track Messy.

The ceremony for the most prestigious award was also quite politicized. Many winners and guests gave emotional speeches, and some came with “ICE out” badges.

Before I thank God, I'll say, “Down with ICE!”
– said Bad Bunny at the beginning of the ceremony.

The performer was talking about the immigration service ICE, whose agents killed two people in early January. The White House's aggressive migration policy has sparked mass protests in major cities.

Billie Eilish also said that everyone should continue to “fight and protest.”
