A choreographer's career that brought him worldwide recognition
Francis Gomez is known as a British choreographer of Afro-Colombian descent. His mother was a dancer, so he shared this passion. He started dancing at the age of 11, and at 16 he began working on himself professionally.
Then he went to the US, where he worked with masters of his craft in New York and Los Angeles. It was quite exhausting for the young man, especially financially, but a year later he managed to open his own company, 2XS-UK, and become its art director.

This leap helped Gomez collaborate with world-class stars – Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Shaggy, Pink and even with elite brands. In 2005, he received an important award for his work – “Best New Choreographer” in Britain.
Work in Ukraine
In 2008, an analogue of the American show, “Everybody's Dancing,” started airing on Ukrainian television. Francisco was a judge in the first four seasons and the sixth.

It's interesting to look at this photo, where there was no war yet, and some famous people did not take off their masks. Unfortunately, Hryhoriy Chapkis is no longer alive, and Vlad Yama received the status of a traitor in Ukraine.

Today, the man lives in two countries – Britain and the USA. He continues his work and even teaches students in the P:SG dance community.
When the dancer worked in Ukraine, he openly said that our country was his second home. He even got a tattoo on his arm in Ukrainian with the word “I love you.”
When Russia occupied Crimea in 2014 and also unleashed the war in Donbas, Gomez was very concerned about this development of events.
The land does not become yours just because you think you have the right to send your troops there. I am convinced that the situation with Crimea is a way to distract Russians from much bigger problems,
– Francisco said about the occupation of the peninsula.
The choreographer did not hide that he was pained by the news he read online. He also sincerely stated that although he is not a Ukrainian by blood, he feels like one of us.
When Russia launched a full-scale war against Ukraine, Gomez again supported Ukraine. He called for unity, but noted that there are also those Russians who love Ukrainians.
My second home, Ukraine… I can't believe what is happening to your beautiful country. I am filled with rage, such unnecessary measures. I can't even imagine what you and your families are going through. Please be very careful wherever you go, and take care of each other,
– Francisco wrote.
Interestingly, at the end of January this year, it became known that the legendary projects “Everybody Dances”, “Star Factory” and “Guess the Melody” are returning to TV.
