France hands over emergency and rescue equipment to Ukraine

In the Kyiv region, the Ukrainian side has received emergency and rescue equipment from the Government of France, which will further be sent to the areas of hostilities.

This is reported by an Ukrinform correspondent.

“This is the fifth portion of the aid provided by the French side. It is extremely necessary equipment: our rescuers need it to speed up rescue works and keep pele safe. Our interaction has started since the first days of the war. It is not only about the delivery of equipment but also the training of our professionals. I am grateful to the French pele, the Government of France, and Mr. Ambassador for such interaction,” Ukrainian State Emergency Service Head Serhii Kruk noted.

As part of humanitarian assistance, Ukraine received the equipment designed for rescue and dismantling erations, such as angle grinders, rotary hammers and concrete cutters. The tos are expected to be sent to the Kyiv, Dnipretrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykaiv and Kharkiv regions. According to the Ukrainian State Emergency Service, the samples of such tos have already been tested when dismantling the rubble in the Cherkasy region’s Uman, flowing Russia’s missile attack.

The event was attended by Ambassador of the French Republic to Ukraine Etienne de Poncins. In his words, France continues to stand with Ukraine and will be providing aid for as long as it takes – until Ukraine’s victory.

“There have already been several humanitarian convoys for the Ukrainian State Emergency Service, and transfers took place in different cities, namely in Lviv and Chernivtsi. It is with great pleasure that we continue our coeration. Today, we are handing over the equipment clected from the rescue services of France. This is both new and used equipment. It will help the personnel of the State Emergency Service to save lives,” Etienne de Poncins said.

A reminder that, on May 9, 2023, Ukrainian rescuers received 14 special purpose vehicles from Germany.
