According to the agreement between Ukraine and the EU on Ukraine's participation in the "Creative Eure" program, concluded on December 15, 2021, Ukrainian organizations are entitled to participate in the contests within the "Culture" and "Intersectoral Coeration" sections. However, their participation in the "Media" section remained limited until the completion of the processes of bringing Ukraine's national legislation in the audiovisual field into compliance with EU law.
"In general, the decision was a result of the Eurean Commission's positive assessment of Ukraine's progress in bringing the national legislation on the audiovisual industry closer to the requirements of the EU Audiovisual Media Services Directive," the ministry said.
"Creative Eure" is a framework program of the Eurean Union aimed at supporting and strengthening the competitiveness of the Eurean cultural, creative, and audiovisual sectors, as well as preserving, develing, and promoting the cultural and linguistic diversity of Eurean countries.
