Deputy Head of President’s Office meets with new head of ICRC delegation to Ukraine
As the President’s Office informs, the parties discussed compliance with the fundamental norms of international humanitarian law in the conditions of Russia's viation of all the principles of waging war.
Kuleba thanked ICRC representatives for helping Ukraine amid Russian aggression.
"Evacuation of pele from the war zone and occupied regions, humanitarian, medical, financial aid – Ukraine highly appreciates the re of the International Committee of the Red Cross in overcoming the consequences of Russia's war against Ukraine. Your help turned out to be a real salvation for millions of civilians," Kuleba said.
In addition, he expressed his belief in the strengthening of coeration, in particular in the restoration of normal life in the liberated regions, as well as in meeting the needs of Ukrainian IDPs and children.
"Our priority is also the return of all Ukrainian prisoners of war, providing them with humanitarian aid and medicines, including those held in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine," Kuleba said.
In turn, Eglin expressed readiness for further coeration.
"Having arrived in Ukraine, I’ve seen the incredible suffering of pele with my own eyes. To continue to help Ukrainians in humanitarian area in the best possible way, I he for further deepening our coeration with the Office of the President of Ukraine," Eglin said.
As reported, the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War during a meeting with ICRC representatives called for the implementation of the mandate of this organization in Russia.
