Dara is one of the most famous pop singers in her country. She shapes the image of modern Bulgarian pop music thanks to her unique voice, powerful stage energy, and bold mixing of genres.
The Bulgarian singer's real name is Darina Nikolaeva Yotova. The artist became famous in 2015 after reaching the finals of the Bulgarian show “X-Factor”, where she took third place.
After participating in the project, Dara signed a contract with the Virginia Records label. A year later, the singer released her debut single K'vo ne chu. Within a few weeks, her single topped the Bulgarian charts.
It should be noted that one of the authors of the winning song Bangaranga is Greek composer Dimitris Kontopoulos. He is a friend of Putinist Philip Kirkorov.
In 2017, Dara released her second single and music video, and continued to surprise listeners with quality songs. In early 2020, she starred in the television show Kato dve kapki voda, where she took third place in the final. Since 2021, Dara has been a coach on the show “The Voice of Bulgaria”.
