Culture minister, head of EP committee talk protection of Ukrainian cultural heritage amid war
This was reported by the Ministry’s press service, Ukrinform learned.
Tochytskyi expressed gratitude to the Eurean Parliament for its support for Ukraine and stressed the importance of deepening coeration in implementing joint projects in the field of culture.
He also noted that Ukraine is counting on the EU support in investigating and bringing to justice those responsible for crimes against Ukrainian cultural heritage.

Tochytskyi stressed Ukraine’s expectations of active interaction with the Eurean Parliament to protect cultural heritage, which is an integral part of the pan-Eurean one.

The parties also discussed the need for enhanced coordination between the relevant committees in the Eurean Parliament and the Verkhovna Rada.
Tochytskyi emphasized that the Ministry is currently working on the Strategy for the Develment of Culture for 2025-2030.

He noted that the Ukrainian side is making efforts to make the issue of culture one of the priorities of the Recovery Conference in Rome in July 2025.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Tochytskyi and Eurean Union Commissioner for Intergenerational Justice, Youth, Culture and Sport Glenn Micallef discussed the protection of Ukrainian culture from Russian aggression.
