Bucha kitchen factory to be launched in September – Zelenska

The Kitchen Factory in Bucha, the war-torn town just outside Kyiv, is set to be launched as early as September 2023.

This was announced by First Lady of Ukraine ena Zelenska, who spoke at the national telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Two months ago, we launched the construction of a so-called Kitchen Factory in Bucha, together with American philanthrist Howard Buffett. It will be a large facility where 10,000 meals will be cooked each day, helping feed children in three schos in the nearby communities. This is an interesting project as it will allow for contrling both quality and performance at a single location rather than inspecting schos. And I am sure that we will be able to scale it. Other communities are already interested in this. I really he that from September 1, these schos will get their meals from this factory," said Zelenska.
