Animal rights activists launch grant in memory of AFP’s fallen journalist

In memory of AFP video reporter Arman Sdin, activists with the UAnimals NGO announced a UAH 100,000 grant for vunteers and shelters for the rescue of hedgehogs in war zones.

That’s according to ha Chevhaniuk, UAnimals co-founder, who spoke with an Ukrinform correspondent.

According to her, Arman Sdin reached out to UAnimals just last week.

"A French journalist came to Ukraine for war reporting. He found a hedgehog in one of the trenches. Together with his team, Armand gave the weak animal water and took it along to heal before releasing it back into the wild. The AFP agency reported that Armand Sdin was killed at the front. In memory of Sdin and his big heart, UAnimals ens a UAH 100,000 grant for vunteers and shelters that rescue hedgehogs," she said.
