In the Kyiv region, a new dual-purpose anti-radiation shelter has been built in one of the Boryspil lyceums. Its area is 873.31 m².
This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.
It is noted that the shelter was built in the Patriot Lyceum. The protective structure is partially buried, has filter ventilation systems, a medical unit, sanitary facilities, individual heating points, fire alarm and internal fire water supply. Accessibility is provided for low-mobility groups of the population – there are ramps and tactile elements.

“For the lyceum, this is not just a shelter. The institution does not have an assembly hall, so the large space of the building will also be used for cultural events, meetings, and educational activities. This is how dual-purpose facilities should work – today it is security, tomorrow it is development,” noted the head of KOVA, Mykola Kalashnyk.

This made it possible to increase the capacity of the protected underground space by about 3.5 thousand people.
