Utility tariffs will increase from March 1: how much will Kyiv residents pay

In March, Kyiv residents will have to pay for utilities at new rates set by the National Commission for Energy and Communal Services. It has become known how much Kyiv residents will have to pay for utilities this month.

Water and sewerage tariffs from March 1

According to the resolution of the National Commission for the Regulation of the National Energy and Water Resources Commission, from January 1, 2025, new tariffs will apply to the Kyivvodokanal KP. For the population, the tariffs remain at the level set on February 24, 2022: the cost of centralized water supply is UAH 16.032 per cubic meter, wastewater treatment is UAH 8.484 per cubic meter. For other categories of consumers, the cost of water increases to UAH 39 per cubic meter, and wastewater treatment is UAH 18.792. Thus, the tariff for cold water from March 1 remains at the level of UAH 24.516 per cubic meter.

The price of hot water in Kyiv will vary from 80.62 to 93.22 UAH per cubic meter from March 1. It depends on the availability of a dryer and the specific service provider.

Gas prices from March 1 in Kyiv

The cost of one cubic meter of gas for the population of Kyiv ranges from 7.79 to 7.96 UAH, depending on the supplier. At the same time, fixed tariffs have been set for consumers without a gas meter: from 26.11 to 26.21 UAH per person if there is centralized hot water supply, from 42.90 to 43.07 UAH if there is no centralized hot water supply, and for apartments with a gas stove and water heater – from 83.50 to 83.82 UAH.

Heating and electricity from March 1 in Kyiv

The cost of heating for residents of Kyiv is 39.38 UAH per square meter of living space, and the price of 1 Gcal of heat is 1654.41 UAH.

As for electricity, Ukraine has a single fixed tariff of UAH 4.32/kWh. However, for houses without gas, a differentiated tariff is provided during the heating season: up to 2,000 kWh – UAH 2.64/kWh, above this limit – UAH 4.32/kWh.
