Kyiv law enforcement officers have filed charges against two men in court. They are suspected of fraud. The case concerns the supply of drones to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Kyiv.
It is noted that at the end of January this year, the capital's police exposed two men. The suspects are residents of the Volyn region, aged 18 and 19.
The investigation established that the suspects used the brand of one of the well-known Ukrainian UAV manufacturers. They published ads offering to manufacture quadcopters. After receiving the advance payment, communication with the “performers” was interrupted.
“Yes, one of the private companies engaged in the supply of UAVs for military needs transferred more than 600 thousand hryvnias to fraudsters,” the report says.
Both suspects were detained, and the money was returned to the owner. The case will be considered in court under Part 4 of Article 190 Aiding in the commission of fraud committed by a group of persons under martial law and on a large scale of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for up to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

At the end of December, the capital's law enforcement officers reported a 35-year-old Kyiv resident on suspicion of fraud. He is accused of embezzling funds from the purchase of drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the case materials, he allegedly received 30 thousand US dollars from the buyer, but did not intend to send the UAV.
Earlier, the Podilskyi District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv reported suspicions against a 30-year-old woman, her mother, and an acquaintance. They are accused of embezzling money transferred for the purchase of drones.
In October, the Obolon District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv reported suspicions against a 36-year-old resident of Kyiv region. He is accused of embezzling money from a serviceman. The suspect promised to bring a car worth 4,800 US dollars from abroad for the needs of the front.
