
On the night of February 5, Russian troops once again attacked Kyiv and the region. Two elderly women were injured in the Solomianskyi district of the capital. One of them was taken to the hospital. Damage was recorded in four districts of the city, but it was the Solomianskyi district that suffered the most from the night shelling by the Russian Federation.

As Pavlo Petrov, spokesman for the State Emergency Service in Kyiv, told the Public, as a result of the night attack by the Russian Federation in the Solomiansky district of the capital, the blast wave blew out windows in four high-rise buildings and damaged cars.

Also in the Solomyanskyi district, windows were blown out and the roof of a kindergarten was damaged, and a laundry and an outbuilding were damaged.

A resident of the damaged house, Oleksiy, told Suspilny correspondents that at about 2 a.m. he heard a loud explosion, and then glass flew and the door slammed.
“Glass from the windows flew all over the room, so I got up and started cleaning,” the man said.
The couple Yuriy and Olha told Suspilny that the windows in all the rooms of their apartment were broken, and the blast wave also hit a car parked in the yard of the house.
“We are safe, but the car is completely out of order, damaged by the blast wave, they say it can't be restored… And these were our legs, we took it to the store, to the clinic, to the hospital, because the woman has sore legs… Now we are trying to get things out of the car, the door is blocked… We thank Putin for freeing us from the apartment and the car,” says Yuriy.

The consequences of Russian shelling are also being recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi, Darnytskyi, and Obolonskyi districts of Kyiv. According to the Prosecutor General's Office, at least 11 residential buildings in Kyiv were damaged.
In the Dnipro district of Kyiv, residents were left without heating and electricity due to Russian shelling. Four tent camps – “Alaska” complexes – were set up in the district.
Russian troops also attacked the Kyiv region. According to the head of the KOVA, Mykola Kalashnyk, a man was injured in the attack in the Vyshgorod district. He was hospitalized with a laceration to the chest.
