In the Kyiv shooting case involving police officers, the defense is preparing appeals and raising funds for bail.
This was reported by the police lawyer Mykhailo Bakhovsky.
According to him, the preparation of appeals against the chosen preventive measure, as well as the collection of funds for the bail, is currently underway.
“We are collecting money for bail, preparing appeals. It is too early to talk about everything else,” the lawyer noted.
The Pechersk District Court has ordered Mykhailo Drobnytskyi and Anna Dudina, two Kyiv patrol police officers who fled during the shooting, to be held in custody for 60 days with bail set at UAH 266,240 each.
What is known about the shooting in Kyiv?
In the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv on April 18, a man opened fire on passersby on the street, and then broke into a supermarket, where he held those present hostage.
The attacker was eliminated during the assault on the store. The shooting left six people dead and 14 injured, including a child. The SBU qualifies the shooting of civilians as a terrorist attack.
