Law enforcement officers exposed and liquidated the activities of the organized network U420, which distributed products containing hazardous substances under the guise of souvenirs. The so-called coffee shops operated in Kyiv, as well as in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Odesa, Lviv, and Kharkiv regions.
This is stated in the Telegram channel of the Prosecutor General's Office.
Investigators found that souvenir products sold through specialized stores contained dangerous chemical compounds that could cause serious harm to health. In particular, these were products disguised as cigarettes and drinks.
“To cover up their activities and legalize their income, the organizers used more than 56 controlled business entities – so-called dropouts, which in fact did not carry out real activities. As part of the proceedings, more than 200 searches were conducted in the network's premises and at the residences of the persons involved, in particular those associated with the U420 network,” the report said.
Documentation of the activities of the aforementioned stores has been ongoing since December 2025.
The actions of the alleged participants in the organized group were classified under parts 1, 2 of Article 255 (creation, leadership of a criminal community or criminal organization, as well as participation in it), parts 2, 3 of Article 307 (illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, shipment or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues), part 3 of Article 209 (legalization (laundering) of property obtained by crime) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
