Russia used UAV simulators “Parody” – “Flash” about yesterday's drone attack on the Kyiv region

Advisor to the Minister of Defense Serhiy “Flash” Beskrestnov reported that on May 2, during a drone attack on the Kyiv region, Russian troops used “Parody” simulator drones.

“Flash” wrote about this on his Facebook page.

“Yesterday's UAV attack on the Kyiv region was different from the usual ones. In several areas, people drew attention to the unusual appearance of the UAV. The enemy, after a long break of several months, massively used UAV simulators “Parody”. It was he who was seen by the country's residents,” the post says.

According to “Flash”, the task of such a drone is to distract the attention of air defense, which is why dozens of such UAVs were circling over the territory of the Kyiv region.

“The enemy is constantly testing new tactics for using UAVs, the task of the defense forces is to analyze, study, predict and, of course, counteract. Also, yesterday there was a suspicion that the enemy was using a copy of a Ukrainian-made UAV, which was not confirmed,” the advisor to the Minister of Defense wrote.

The previous evening, May 3, the Russian army attacked Kyiv and the Kyiv region with drones. In total, the air defense neutralized 249 of the 268 drones that Russia tried to attack Ukraine with, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports. However, the air defense recorded the hit of a ballistic missile and 19 strike drones at 15 locations, as well as the fall of downed aircraft or debris at one location.
