In Hostomel, the major renovation of the building of Primary School No. 1 is being completed within the framework of the Ukraine Recovery Program with the support of the European Investment Bank.
This was reported by the Department of Regional Development of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.
After the renovation, the school will be able to accommodate up to 270 people — 240 students and 30 staff. The project aims to restore the educational infrastructure and create safe and comfortable learning conditions for children.
Renovation started in January 2025. The facility is currently in the final stage: internal and external work is being completed, as well as the surrounding area is being landscaped.
After the renovation is complete, the school premises will be brought up to modern household and sanitary and hygienic standards, equipped with educational technologies, and adapted for a full-fledged educational process.
