A mother of two young girls has been sentenced to prison in Kyiv after being found guilty of creating child pornography involving her daughters.
This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.
The prosecutor proved in court that the mother of two girls, who were 8 and 10 years old at the time, took pornographic photos and videos at home. She later distributed them via the Internet to earn money. Later, an underage godmother began to help her.
The court has now found two women guilty of producing and distributing child pornography, as well as of forcing minors to participate in the creation of illegal content (Part 4, Article 301-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
It is noted that the women pleaded guilty in court. The girls' mother was sentenced to 11 years in prison. The other defendant, who was a minor at the time, received 5 years in prison. She was released from serving her sentence on probation, with a probationary period of 2 years.
The children were taken from their mother, and the girls' parents are raising them.
It was previously reported that a Boryspil resident is suspected of producing and distributing child pornography. According to law enforcement, the 48-year-old man communicated with children on social networks, forcing them to participate in creating pornographic materials, which he later distributed on the Internet.
