
The Solomyansk District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv has filed charges against 6 members of a drug gang. According to the case materials, they are accused of setting up a drug laboratory where they manufactured amphetamine and then sold it.

Law enforcement officers believe that the organizer of the drug business is a 34-year-old Kyiv resident. According to the case materials, he and his accomplices produced about 40 kg of amphetamine per month in a private house in the Kyiv region.
“The estimated income from the sale of psychotropic substances at “black” market prices is about 20 million hryvnias per month,” the report says.
According to the prosecutor's office, the organizer received orders for “goods” via the Internet and by phone. The accomplices, according to their assigned roles, were engaged in the manufacture and sale of drugs. Buyers paid in cash and sent money to a card.
“During the searches, more than 3 kg of amphetamine, more than 13 kg of phenylnitropropene and 1,540 liters of sulfuric acid (substances used to manufacture amphetamine), as well as laboratory equipment, other items and means used to manufacture drugs, were seized from members of the drug gang,” the report says.
Currently, charges against six suspects have been sent to court. The actions of the accused were classified under parts 2, 3 of Art. 307, part 3 of Art. 311, part 2 of Art. 317 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the articles provides for up to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Every month, the suspects produced up to 25 kg of amphetamine and LSD. Their value on the shadow market can reach 2.5 million UAH. The manufactured drugs were distributed in Kyiv and other regions.
