Preventive measures are being introduced in Kyiv, set to remain in effect until the end of March, in an effort to prevent the spread of coronavirus in Ukraine’s capital where no cases have been reported so far.

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko made a relevant announcement in a video address on Wednesday, stating that municipal authorities are introducing a plan of anti-epidemic measures and restrictions.

Preventive measures in Kyiv are preliminarily scheduled to last until the end of March.

“In particular, the educational process in institutions of general and higher education will be temporarily limited, including kindergartens, art and sports schools, and others. We also limit the holding of mass events in the capital. This also applies to concert shows, conferences, film screenings, and other events.
