A state registrar who illegally re-registered a land plot to her friend will be tried in the capital. Law enforcement officers have established that the land belongs to the Kyiv community and is worth over 1.5 million hryvnias.

According to the investigation, a 39-year-old Kyiv resident made illegal changes to the automated system of the State Registry using forged documents. She re-registered a communal land plot located in the Sviatoshynskyi district of the capital to her acquaintance.
Police said the state registrar used the man's personal data to carry out the scheme. She submitted an electronic application on his behalf and uploaded documents to the registry that did not confirm any rights to the land plot.
“As a result of illegal actions, land worth over 1.5 million hryvnias belonging to the Kyiv community was illegally re-registered and preconditions were created for its further alienation,” the report says.
Law enforcement officers documented all stages of the transaction and informed the defendant of suspicion under Part 5 of Article 190, Part 3 of Article 362, Part 3 of Article 365-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
