A resident of the capital was detained in the Khmelnytskyi region. According to investigators, he was illegally selling weapons taken from frontline areas and combat zones.
This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
According to their information, after the arrest, the man was informed of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives).
The sanction of the article provides for a penalty of imprisonment for a term of three to seven years.
The SBU reported that, in addition to selling weapons, he prepared for sale over 1.6 kg of plastid, 11 combat grenades, over 2,000 rounds of ammunition, a grenade launcher shot, and smoke bombs.
According to the Security Service of Ukraine, the issue of additional qualification of the suspect's actions is being resolved.
