The Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office has reported suspicions to five citizens. They are accused of illegally manufacturing and selling excisable goods. This concerns fuel.

Illegal oil depot and counterfeit fuel: five members of an organized group were reported suspicious in the Kyiv region
According to the investigation, the suspects organized the operation of an illegal oil depot in the territory of the Bila Tserkva district, where illegally produced fuel was stored. It was then sold through a network of controlled gas stations. The gas stations operated without appropriate fuel quality certificates and did not reflect the sale of excisable goods in their financial and economic reporting.

“During authorized searches at the gas station and oil depot, more than 57 thousand liters of gasoline, almost 85 thousand liters of diesel fuel, and 4.5 thousand liters of liquefied gas were seized. The estimated value of the seized materials is more than 8 million UAH,” the report says.
Law enforcement officers also seized 29 fuel tanks, equipment for its storage, distribution and transportation. In the suspects' apartments, financial and business documents, draft records, mobile phones and over 18 million UAH in cash were found. The suspects were informed of suspicion under parts 2, 3 of article 28, parts 1, 2 of article 204 Illegal manufacture and sale of excisable goods of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum sanction of the articles provides for up to five years of imprisonment with confiscation and destruction of illegally manufactured or purchased goods, tools of production, and raw materials for their manufacture.
It was previously reported that law enforcement officers uncovered illegal gas stations in two districts of the Kyiv region. During the searches, more than 14 tons of fuel were seized.
