Expedited re-registration of transport: Kyiv police suspect three citizens

In Kyiv, law enforcement officers have exposed the illegal activities of three citizens. They are suspected of illegally re-registering cars and motorcycles at service centers.

It is noted that among the suspects are two men and a woman who found “clients” and demanded bribes for the quick re-registration of vehicles.

“Yes, for a cash reward of 4,000 to 8,000 hryvnias, the suspects promised “clients” to speed up the procedure for re-registering cars and motorcycles without waiting in an electronic queue,” the report says.

Law enforcement officers detained the suspects and charged them with part 3 of article 369-2 Obtaining an unlawful benefit for oneself and a third party, for influencing a decision-making process by a person authorized to perform state functions, combined with the extortion of such benefit, committed by a group of persons in prior conspiracy. It was previously reported that a scheme for “expedited” issuance of coupons at a territorial service center was exposed in Kyiv. According to law enforcement, the administrator created fictitious coupons for “her” clients instead of reserve ones, which were intended only for beneficiaries.
