
The Podilskyi District Prosecutor's Office of Kyiv has filed charges against the director of a private company. He is suspected of embezzling money during the construction of modular homes in the village of Moshchun.
This was reported by the press service of the department.
Law enforcement officials said the man would be tried for embezzling money from a charitable organization. The funds were allocated for the construction of modular homes.
In particular, this concerns construction work on the installation of foundations, septic tanks, and water supply. The housing was intended for people who were left homeless as a result of the full-scale Russian invasion.

“It was established that the director of the private company that performed the work entered false data about the volume and cost of construction work into the acts of completed work. According to the conclusions of the experts, such actions caused losses of almost 500 thousand hryvnias to the charitable organization,” the report says.

The actions of the defendant were classified under Part 4 of Article 191, Part 1 of Article 366, Part 1 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Sanction of Articles Taking someone else's property by abusing official position, entering knowingly false data into official documents, and disposing of money obtained by criminal means is punishable by up to 8 years in prison.
It was previously reported that Kyiv region law enforcement officers reported suspicions to five members of an organized group. They are accused of allegedly misappropriating over UAH 14 million of budget funds allocated for the purchase of shelters for educational institutions.
