Cannabis extract instead of olive oil: law enforcement officers exposed drug smuggling

Law enforcement officers have exposed two men who, according to the investigation, were supplying drugs to Ukraine. The goods were disguised in olive oil bottles.

This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Kyiv.

Law enforcement officers established that a 29-year-old Kyiv resident and a 41-year-old Dnipro resident were involved in the illegal activity.

“The criminals ordered cannabis extract from abroad under the guise of olive oil, after which they sold the “goods” through postal items throughout Ukraine. One of the dealers was the owner of a Telegram channel through which orders from customers were accepted,” the report says.

Every month, the suspects produced up to 25 kg of amphetamine and LSD. Their value on the shadow market can reach 2.5 million UAH. The manufactured drugs were distributed in the capital and other regions.

The Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office announced the termination of the activities of an organized group. According to the investigation, the group members sold almost 3 kg of drugs every month with a turnover of over 17 million hryvnias.
