A fatal traffic accident involving two vehicles occurred in the Obolonskyi district of Kyiv. The driver of the minibus died on the spot from his injuries. His body was extricated from the mangled car.
This was reported by the Kyiv police and the State Emergency Service.
The accident occurred on Bogatyrska Street. Previously, the 34-year-old driver of a Mercedes and the 43-year-old driver of a Volkswagen minibus were driving in the same lane. Soon the Volkswagen driver began to make a changeover maneuver, and at that moment the Mercedes hit the minibus from behind.

“As a result of the impact, the driver of the Volkswagen lost control, drove onto the side of the road, and the car overturned. The driver died at the scene from his injuries,” the police report said.
As reported by the State Emergency Service, rescuers used a hydraulic tool to unblock the body of the deceased Volkswagen driver from the car interior and handed it over to the “103” service.
The circumstances of the accident will be established by law enforcement officers.
