The State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) reported that they have submitted to the court the case materials regarding the beating of a man near the Holosiivskyi RTCC (district territorial recruitment center) and SP (social support). The suspects are two law enforcement officers. They face up to 8 years in prison.

This is about the events of October 2025. Then, according to the investigation, two law enforcement officers brought a man in a minibus to the CCC building and beat him while he was lying on the threshold of the car and did not resist. The law enforcement officers were charged with abuse of authority.
Investigators concluded that two law enforcement officers used excessive force on the man and struck him repeatedly in the head. He sustained multiple injuries as a result of the beating.
“At the same time, it was established that the conflict arose after the detainee sprayed pepper spray in the cabin of a service car. However, even such actions could not be the basis for brutal violence on the part of law enforcement officers,” the SBI report states.
Law enforcement officers were charged with abuse of power. The sanction of the article provides for a penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to 8 years.
According to the State Bureau of Investigation, both law enforcement officers have already been dismissed from service.
Earlier, during the election of a preventive measure for the suspect, the lawyer of law enforcement officer Dmytro Tsyganenko reported that his client admits guilt, repents of his actions and cooperates with the investigation. Another suspect, Ilya Babik, and his lawyer did not comment on the situation.
