Armed conflict: police prepare suspect for Kyiv resident

Kyiv police are investigating an incident involving an armed conflict between two men. The incident occurred in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv.

This was reported today, May 10, by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Kyiv.

Previously, law enforcement officers established that a 52-year-old Kyiv resident came to the 70-year-old security guard of a garage cooperative yesterday evening. He lives in a neighboring house. The man made a complaint about a local dog that ran into his house.

“In the midst of the conflict, the offender hit an elderly man and then began threatening him with a weapon,” the report says.

The police have initiated criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – hooliganism. The maximum sanction of the article provides for up to five years of restriction of liberty. Law enforcement officers seized a device for shooting rubber bullets. A report of suspicion is currently being prepared for the person involved.

It was previously reported that a military man in the NWCH was walking around a supermarket in Kyiv and intimidating customers with a weapon. Law enforcement officers detained him, as the man was intoxicated.

Police also detained the suspect who opened fire in Bucha. According to investigators, the man was drunk and fired randomly.
