A Kyiv resident and his accomplices will be tried in the capital. They are suspected of illegally appropriating city land plots.
This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Kyiv.
It is noted that investigators exposed citizens who allegedly organized and illegally transferred municipal land into private ownership in August 2024. The investigation established that these land plots, in accordance with the decision of the Kyiv City Council, were subject to transfer to citizens for the construction and maintenance of residential buildings and gardening.
“The perpetrators forged official documents – changed the personal data of the persons to whom the plots were allegedly registered, as well as the cadastral numbers and addresses of three land plots and registered them as private property,” the report says.
Law enforcement officers found out that private ownership rights to three land plots had been illegally registered. Thus, the territorial community suffered losses of over 22 million hryvnias.
The actions of the accused were classified under Part 5 of Article 190 Fraud on a particularly large scale , Part 3 and Part 4 of Article 358 Forgery and use of forged documents. The court imposed an arrest on the land in order to prevent further transactions of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanctions of the articles provide for up to 12 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
It was previously reported that a state registrar who illegally re-registered a land plot to her acquaintance will be tried in the capital. Law enforcement officers established that the land belongs to the Kyiv community, and its value is over 1.5 million hryvnias.
Also in Kyiv, the illegal state registration of a land plot with an area of 7.8 hectares was canceled. This is a plot worth over 405 million hryvnias within the landscape reserve of local importance in the Dnipro district of Kyiv. A private company purchased a complex of buildings from another enterprise and thus planned to obtain forest fund lands without a decision of the Kyiv City Council and use them for further development.
