A man will be tried in Kyiv for breaking the mirror of a military driver's car and taking his mobile phone due to a traffic conflict.
This was reported today, May 13, by the press service of the Main Directorate of the National Police of Kyiv.
It is noted that in March, the Dnipro Police Department in Kyiv received a report that an unknown man had damaged a serviceman's car and robbed him.
The police found out that while driving, the driver of the BMW car made a maneuver that “cut” the applicant. The latter was driving in the adjacent lane in a Volkswagen car.
“During a subsequent conflict at a traffic light, the passenger of the BMW got out of the car and smashed the mirror of the Volkswagen with his fist,” the report says.
The police reported that after that, the suspect began threatening the 46-year-old driver with physical violence and took his mobile phone, which he later threw into the forest.
Then the 51-year-old defendant was detained and informed of suspicion under the articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Part 1 of Article 296 – hooliganism and Part 4 of Article 186 – robbery committed under martial law. Currently, the case materials have been sent to court. The sanction of the article provides for up to ten years of imprisonment.
