
The capital's law enforcement officers have sent the case materials to court regarding the arson of a coffee shop on the Lisovye massiv in Kyiv. The defendant is a 39-year-old Kyiv resident who left a military unit without permission. He now faces up to 10 years in prison.

This is about the events of September 2025. At night, law enforcement officers arrived at a fire call and saw that the glass in the cafe had been broken by a stone, and inside they found a bottle with the remains of a flammable mixture. The fire damaged the interior decoration and property.

Law enforcement officers detained the alleged arsonist. He is a 39-year-old Kyiv resident who was in the SZCH.
According to police, the man confessed to the arson. Vig said he decided to take revenge on the businessman for an argument with his roommate.
“While intoxicated, the man first came to the entrepreneur's home, and not finding him, he decided to set fire to the property in the establishment,” the report says.

He was served with a charge of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – intentional destruction or damage to property. “Currently, the police have completed the pre-trial investigation and sent the indictment to the court. The accused faces up to ten years in prison for what he has done,” the press service of the Kyiv police said.
