
A heating pipe failure occurred on Holosiivskyi Avenue in the capital. As a result, 9 houses were left without heating, and traffic on the highway was complicated.
This was reported by the Kyiv patrol police and the Kyiv City State Administration with reference to Kyivteploenergo.
The damage occurred on Saturday, March 14, at around 9:30 p.m. Water flowed onto the roadway. Asphalt also sagged on one lane of traffic.
The damage was localized the same day, the coolant flow was stopped, according to the official Kyiv portal. While the services worked on the liquidation, traffic on the avenue was complicated. Therefore, patrol police officers monitored road safety.
In addition to traffic difficulties on the highway, 9 residential buildings were temporarily left without heat supply.
On January 2, a heating system burst on Lobanovsky Avenue, and the asphalt collapsed due to an intense leak of hot water. A 16-year-old girl fell into this pit of boiling water. The teenager was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of Kyiv City Children's Clinical Hospital No. 1. The girl's condition was critical.
A few days later, law enforcement officers declared suspicion against the head of the district division of the utility company “Kyivteploenergo”. The official is accused of violating safety regulations.
The girl was transported to Germany in serious condition, where she underwent surgery. It was one of the fastest medical evacuations, said Ukrainian Health Minister Viktor Lyashko.
