
An employee of the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine for Kyiv and Kyiv Region was detained on suspicion of receiving a bribe of $68,000.
This was reported by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.
According to the investigation, the official received $68,000 from two citizens ($34,000 from each) for “resolving the issue” of their removal from the wanted list in the CCC and subsequent registration of a deferral from mobilization, as well as for not being held accountable after registering a fictitious deferral.

“The postponement was planned to be issued on the basis of knowingly false documents stating that each of the citizens allegedly had three children. The fictitious birth certificates were intended to be issued abroad,” the NABU said, adding that urgent investigative actions are currently underway.
The suspect's actions were previously classified under Part 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine on unlawful gain in an especially large amount. The sanction of the article provides for up to 12 years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years, with confiscation of property.
