
Three residents of the Kyiv region will be tried in Kryvyi Rih, who, according to investigators, established a channel for the sale of weapons and ammunition. They were detained during the sale of 25 assault rifles and a light machine gun and cartridges. The transaction amount was 18.6 thousand dollars.
This is stated on the website of the regional prosecutor's office.
One of the defendants in the case is the head of a public organization. Law enforcement officers found out that the defendants were transporting weapons from the combat zone through an accomplice to Kyiv and selling them throughout the country. Buyers were sought through personal contacts.
“In September 2025, men were detained in Kryvyi Rih during the sale of 25 5.45 mm Kalashnikov assault rifles, a light machine gun, and 8,500 rounds of the same caliber. During the searches, law enforcement officers seized mobile phones, 4,500 rounds of ammunition, and a charity fund vehicle used to transport weapons under cover,” the report says.

The three men are charged with illegal acquisition, carrying, transportation, storage and sale of firearms, ammunition and explosive devices (Part 3 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). They face up to three years in prison. Investigators are checking information about the involvement of other people in the supply of weapons.
