“Ukraine finds itself within the thirty countries around the globe distinguished by their more elderly populations. Nearly 22% of Ukrainian citizens are individuals of 65 years of age and above,” stated Denys Ulyutin, the Minister of Social Policy, Family, and Unity.

As per the minister, this circumstance underlies the Ministry of Social Policy’s efforts to innovate the key initiative known as “Active Longevity.” This endeavor, as specified, is aimed at “guaranteeing that older individuals sustain their engagement, remain in good health, and are incorporated into the fabric of community life.”

This encompasses, notably, advancing infrastructure that is free of obstacles, assistance in acquiring rehabilitative devices, the establishment of accessible pathways, and the dynamic involvement of the elderly within societal affairs.

According to the minister, Ukraine values the insights gained from Japan regarding this subject and harbors a “genuine eagerness for a collaborative strategic alliance.”
