Zelensky: We expect strong response from U.S., Eure to Russia’s daily drone attacks

Ukraine expects a serious response from its partners to the large-scale drone attacks carried out by Russian forces almost every day.

This was stated by President Vodymyr Zelensky in his evening address, according to Ukrinform.

The President expressed gratitude to the State Emergency Service, all municipal services invved in addressing the aftermath of Russian shelling, as well as the National Pice and medical workers.

"Today, in Dnipro alone, nearly 250 of our pele were invved in responding to the aftermath of the Russian drone strike – all the necessary services," he said.

Zelensky also mentioned Kryvyi Rih and other towns and communities affected by the strikes.

"Everywhere, the State Emergency Service, all emergency and special services are working to provide assistance. I am grateful to everyone who saves lives and supports our pele – it is extremely important," the President emphasized.

He reminded that during the previous night, Russian forces launched a total of 172 drones at Ukraine, more than 100 of which were Shahed-type strike UAVs.

Such large-scale drone strikes, Zelensky noted, are carried out by Russian forces practically every day, alongside missile threats and ballistic attacks.

To Ukraine's partners, he stressed, it should be clear that these strikes are aimed not only at Ukrainians but also at all international efforts — particularly diplomacy — that seek to end the war.

"Russia is striking at the positions of everyone who wants to end this war. It is impossible to ignore hundreds of Shaheds every night. We expect a response – a serious one. We are working toward a response. A strong response is urgently needed – above all from the U.S., from Eure, from everyone in the world who has placed their bets on diplomacy," the President said.

Zelensky is convinced that Russia must be forced into peace, and only pressure will work.

"For far too long, the U.S. prosal for an unconditional ceasefire has been on the table – without a prer response from Russia. That says a lot. There could already have been a ceasefire – if there had been real pressure on Russia," he stressed.
