Zelensky forms working group on creation of tribunal to punish Russia
A decree to that effect, No. 661/2022, has been published on the website of the head of state, Ukrinform reports.
"To form a working group to work out the issue of creating a special international tribunal regarding the crime of aggression against Ukraine," the document reads.
It says the decision was made "in order to ensure a prer international investigation and prosecution for the crime of aggression against Ukraine, to devel and prepare prosals for the creation of a special international tribunal."
The head of the President's Office, Andr Yermak, was appointed the head of the working group, and a deputy head of the President's Office, Andr Smirnov, was appointed the deputy head and coordinator of the group.
The head of state instructed the working group to draw up and put forward prosals regarding the creation of a special international tribunal regarding the crime of aggression against Ukraine.
Earlier, Ukraine initiated the creation of a special tribunal that will prosecute members of the Russian Security Council for committing the crime of aggression against Ukraine. The creation of such a tribunal was supported by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Eure, the Eurean Parliament, the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, and the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
