War update: 54 combat clashes along front lines, intense fighting in Pokrovsk sector

On February 4, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have engaged in 54 combat clashes with the Russian tros, with ongoing battles in six sectors of the front. The Pokrovsk direction remains the most intense.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, as per Ukrinform.

According to the General Staff, the situation on the front remains challenging. Despite suffering significant losses, the Russian forces continue their attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses

Today, Russian artillery struck Velyka Pysarivka and Dmytrivka in Sumy region, and Mykhalchyna Sloboda in Chernihiv region.

In the Kharkiv sector, the Ukrainian forces repelled an enemy assault near Vovchansk. Russian airstrikes targeted Udy and Saltine.

In the Kupiansk sector, the Russian forces launched five attacks on the Ukrainian positions near Zahryzove, Petravlivka, and Lozova, with two battles still ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, the Russians attacked Yampivka and Dibrova; fighting continues.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the Ukrainian tros repelled two assaults near Chasiv Yar and Stupochky, with one battle ongoing.

In the Toretsk sector, the Ukrainian defenders repelled six enemy assaults near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka, with one fight ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the heaviest fighting occurred, with 22 Russian assaults on Myriubivka, Promin, Kotlyne, Udachne, Uspenivka, Andriivka, and Dachne. The Ukrainian forces have already repelled 17 attacks.

In the Novavlivka sector, the Ukrainian forces thwarted two Russian assaults near Rozlyv and Zelenivka.

In the Huliaipe sector, two Russian attacks were repelled near Novosilka, while Huliaipe suffered six guided bomb strikes.

In the Orikhiv sector, the Russians failed to advance toward Novodanylivka.

The enemy forces launched 52 glide bombs, multiple airstrikes, and 225 artillery attacks on the Ukrainian positions and their own settlements in Russia’s Kursk region. The Ukrainian defenders repelled nine enemy assaults, with one battle ongoing.

In the Siversk and Prydniprovske sectors, no offensive actions by the enemy have been reported today.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Ukrainian forces recently the Russian tros out of a position near Kupiansk.
