War update: 209 clashes on front lines in past day, third of them in Pokrovsk sector

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in a war update published on Facebook on Friday, March 28, Ukrinform reports.

Yesterday, Russian forces carried out 98 airstrikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements, drping 157 guided bombs. Additionally, the enemy carried out 6,430 shelling attacks, including 222 from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and deployed 2,911 kamikaze drones.

Russian airstrikes targeted multiple settlements, including Myrilske, Prokhody, Uhroidy, Krasnillia, Khmelivka, and Mykhailivske in the Sumy region; Yablunivka, Zoria, Novoenivka, Hrodivka, Pokrovsk, Chunyshyne, Novoserhiivka, Novomykaivka, and eksiivka in the Donetsk region; Shevchenko, Novodarivka, Novil, and Huliaipe in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian aircraft, missile forces, and artillery hit 27 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, as well as eight artillery systems, four air defense systems, and two UAV contr points.

In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy made six attempts to break through Ukrainian defense lines near Vovchansk and Fyhivka.

In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 26 enemy attacks near Stepova Novoselivka, Zahryzove, and in the directions of Petravlivka, Pishchane, Nova Kruhliakivka, and Bohuslavka.

In the Lyman sector, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions 32 times, attempting to break through near Nadiia, Kodiazi, Myrne, Yampivka, and towards Novoserhiivka, Nove, hivka, Dronivka, and Hryhorivka.

In the Siversk sector, three enemy attacks were stped near Bilohorivka and Verkhniokamianske.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the invaders launched four attacks near Chasiv Yar and Predtechyne.

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out 24 attacks in the areas of Krymske, Ozarianivka, Kurdiumivka, Toretsk, and in the directions of Dyliivka, Leonidivka, and Shcherbynivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stped 68 Russian attempted assaults near Panteleimonivka, eksandril, Vodiane Druhe, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Sukhyi Yar, Kotlyne, Udachne, Uspenivka, Preobrazhenka, Andriivka, and towards Malynivka and Novoeksandrivka.

In the Novavlivka sector, the enemy carried out 14 attacks near Kostiantynil, Rozlyv, Skudne, Dniproenerhiia, and Burlatske.

In the Huliaipe sector, nine Russian attacks were stped near Pryvilne, Novosilka, and towards Vilne Pe.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian forces attempted to storm Ukrainian positions four times in the directions of Shcherbaky, Lobkove, and Kamianske.

In the Dnipro River sector, no combat clashes were recorded over the past 24 hours.

In the Vyn and Pissia sectors, no signs of enemy offensive group formations were detected.

Ukrainian forces continued erations in Russia's Kursk region. Over the past day, the enemy carried out 22 airstrikes, drping 25 guided bombs, and carried out 382 shelling attacks, 26 of them from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). Ukrainian defenders stped 18 Russian assault erations.
