War update: 182 combat clashes along front lines, Russian attacks most intense in three sectors

As reported by Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated this on Facebook, publishing erational information at 8:00 on Sunday, December 8.

Yesterday, the Russians launched one missile strike using a single missile against the positions of Ukrainian units and pulated areas, as well as deployed 1,579 kamikaze drones for attacks.

Additionally, the enemy conducted 3,542 artillery strikes, including 111 using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).

The Russian forces also carried out airstrikes, particularly in the areas of the settlements of Oreshanka, Kozacha Lan, Kivsharivka, Zapadne, Velyka Shapkivka, Serebrianka, Bilohorivka, Kostiantynivka, Myrnohrad, Novotroitske, Shevchenko, Andriivka, Ulakly, eksiivka, Bahatyr, Kostiantynil, Sukhi Yaly, Novyi Komar, Vesele, and Dniproenerhiia.

Over the past day, the rocket forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit one cluster of enemy personnel, three command posts, and another critical Russian facility.

In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy made two unsuccessful attempts to advance in the area of Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk sector, nine enemy attacks were recorded over the past day. The Defense Forces repelled enemy assault actions near Lozova, Masiutivka, Hlushkivka, Kisnykivka, and Zelenyi Hai.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy attacked 22 times, attempting to advance near Tverdokhlibove, Kanky, Bohuslavka, Hrekivka, Cherneshchyna, Makiivka, Zarichne, Terny, Yampivka, Druzheliubivka, and in the Serebrianskyi forest.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the Russian army carried out seven attacks on the positions of Ukrainian forces in the areas of the settlements of Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, and Bila Hora.

In the Toretsk sector, seven combat engagements occurred near the settlements of Toretsk, Dyliivka, and Nelipivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, during the past day, the Ukrainian defenders stped 35 enemy assault and offensive actions in the areas of Promin, Lysivka, Dachenske, Pushkine, Zoria, Hrodivka, Sukhi Yaly, Myrnohrad, Zhovte, Novyi Trud, and Novotroitske.

In the Kurakhove sector, throughout the past day, Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled 42 attacks on their positions near Sontsivka, Zoria, Kurakhove, Yelyzavetivka, Romanivka, Hannivka, Uspenivka, Rozlyv, Stari Terny, Dachne, and Neskuchne.

In the Vremivka sector, the enemy conducted 30 assaults on the Ukrainian positions in the areas of the settlements of Veselyi Hai, Kostiantynilske, Sukhi Yaly, Novodarivka, Novosilka, Temyrivka, Neskuchne, and Velyka Novosilka.

In the Prydniprovske sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled three enemy assaults.

In the Siversk, Orikhiv, and Huliaipe sectors, the enemy did not conduct active erations yesterday.

In the Vyn and Pissia sectors, no signs of the formation of offensive groups by the Russian army were detected.

The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue their eration in Russia’s Kursk region. Over the past day, 17 combat engagements occurred, and enemy artillery conducted 446 strikes on settlements and Ukrainian military positions.

As reported by Ukrinform, the total combat losses of Russian tros in Ukraine from February 24, 2022, to December 8, 2024, amount to approximately 753,370 personnel, including 1,460 over the past day.
