War update: 127 clashes on frontline, 44 Russian attacks repelled near Pokrovsk

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in an evening update at 22:00 on March 19, 2025 on Facebook, as seen by Ukrinform.

"Since the beginning of the day, there have been 127 combat engagements. Russian invaders launched one missile strike, 57 airstrikes using 84 glide bombs, and deployed 973 kamikaze drones. They also carried out over 4,500 shelling attacks on our forces and settlements," the statement reads.

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces attempted five assaults near Vovchansk and Dvorichna, all of which were repelled.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russians launched six offensives near Zahryzove and Petravlivka. Five clashes have been repelled while one is currently ongoing.

In the Lyman sector, 13 Russian assaults occurred near Yampivka, Nove, Novomykhailivka, and Zelena Dyna. Three clashes are still underway.

In the Siversk sector, the Ukrainian defenders repelled one assault near Verkhniokamianske.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian forces attacked near eksandro-Shultyne, Minkivka, and Novomarkove. Three enemy attempts to push back Ukrainian defenders failed, one engagement is still ongoing.

In the Toretsk sector, 16 clashes occurred throughout the day near Krymske, Toretsk, Dachne, and Dyliivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Russians carried out 44 attacks near Tarasivka, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Novoukrainka, Kotlyne, Zvirove, Udachne, Uspenivka, Preobrazhenka, eksiivka, Valentynivka, Andriivka, and Serhiivka. 39 assaults were repelled, while five clashes are still underway. Airstrikes with glide bombs hit Zoria, Nova Ptavka, Hrodivka, and Pokrovsk.

Today, in this sector, a total of 281 enemy sdiers were neutralized, including 152 killed. Ukrainian forces also destroyed one tank, three infantry fighting vehicles, two satellite communication terminals, one artillery gun, two vehicles, one mortar, seven motorcycles, and five UAV contr points. In the Novavlivka sector, 11 enemy attacks were repelled near Pryvilne and Kostiantynil.

In the Huliaipe sector, Russians attempted three advances near Novil byt were unsuccessful. Russian airstrikes targeted Velykomykhailivka and Zelene Pe.

In the Orikhiv sector, the Ukrainian defenders repelled seven enemy attacks near Stepove, Lobkove, and Shcherbaky. Russian glide bombs struck Yasna Piana, Blakytnе, and Novoivanivka.

In the Prydniprovske sector, Russain forces did not conduct offensives, though airstrikes targeted Burhunka and Vyrivka.

In Russia’s Kursk region, 18 Russian assaults were repelled by Ukrainian forces, three clashes are ongoing. Russian forces carried out 18 airstrikes with 20 glide bombs and 290 shelling attacks, including 11 MRLS strikes.

As previously reported, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled a mechanized Russian assault in Chasiv Yar.
