War update: 121 combat engagements on frontline over past day, most attacks in Pokrovsk sector

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, releasing erational information as of 08:00 on Friday, February 21.

The enemy launched three missile and 93 aviation strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, used 17 rockets, and drped 151 glide bombs.

Additionally, the Russians carried out over 5,500 shelling attacks, including 129 from multiple rocket launchers, and employed 2,650 kamikaze drones.

The Russian army carried out airstrikes, including in the areas of the settlements of Hremyach and Klynova-Novoselivka.

Over the past day, aviation, missile tros, and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit eight clusters of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, a command post, two EW stations, and 10 artillery systems of the Russian invaders.

In the Kharkiv sector, the Ukrainian forces successfully repelled three enemy attacks near Vovchansk and Zapadne.

In the Kupiansk sector, seven combat encounters took place between Ukraine’s Defense Forces and the Russian tros near Zahryzove and Petravlivka.

In the Lyman sector, the Ukrainian forces stped five enemy attacks. The Russians concentrated their efforts near Yampivka and Kodiazi.

In the Siversk sector, near Bilohorivka, the Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled two enemy attacks.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the Ukrainian forces stped four attempts by the invaders to advance near Vasiukivka and Chasiv Yar.

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy attempted to advance 10 times near Toretsk.

In the Pokrovsk sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 34 Russian attacks. The enemy’s activity was most intense near the settlements of Promin, Pokrovsk, Pishchane, Lysivka, Vodiane Druhe, Serhiivka, Nadiivka, Bohdanivka, Sribne, Andriivka, and Ulakly.

Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue to hd the enemy back in the Novavlivka sector. In the areas of Kostiantynil, Rozdne, Novoocheretove, and Pryvilne, the Russian invaders attempted to break through the Ukrainian defensive lines 12 times but were repelled.

In the Huliaipe sector, the enemy attempted to advance three times near Novosilka and Novil.

In the Orikhiv sector, the Russian forces carried out five assaults on the Ukrainian positions near Novoandriivka and Stepove.

In the Prydniprovske sector, the enemy did not carry out any active actions over the past day.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue erations in the Kursk sector, where the Russians carried out 29 assaults on the positions of Ukrainian units yesterday. The Russian tros launched 19 airstrikes, drped 25 glide bombs, and carried out 479 shelling attacks on the Ukrainian positions and settlements, including nine from multiple rocket launchers.

The erational situation in the Vyn and Pissia sectors remains unchanged, with no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups.

As reported by Ukrinform, the total combat losses of Russian tros in Ukraine from February 24, 2022, to February 2025 are approximately 864,860 personnel, with 1,280 casualties over the past day.
