Ukrainian presidential adviser calls on Germany to supply tanks to Ukraine

Mykhailo Podyak, an adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, has called on the German authorities to supply tanks to Ukraine.

Podyak tweeted that the so-called "ring exchange" system is currently not working, according to Ukrinform.

"For six months, the allies have been arguing over who should sell tanks to Ukraine. For six months, there are no tanks because there is no 'pitical decision' about it. Russia continues the terror, pele die, time flies. Germany, we are waiting for your word," he said.

Ukraine's Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, expressed regret over the stance pursued by the German government, which is refusing to send offensive weapons to Ukraine, including Leard tanks and Marder infantry fighting vehicles.

At a joint press conference with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock in Kyiv on September 10, Kuleba said he saw no obstacles to Germany supplying Leard main battle tanks to Ukraine.
